Our customer, headquartered at the tri-border region of Germany, Switzerland, and France, had traditionally relied on in-house hiring for their software development needs. But during the hot European tech market of 2020-2022, talent willing to relocate to their main office became scarce.
Facing this challenge, our customer decided to build a satellite development team in Kyiv, tapping into a broader talent pool while maintaining their high standards for quality and collaboration.
Their priority? Start slow and steady, ensuring the first hires set the tone for long-term success. No rushed scaling, just a focus on getting it right from day one.

By October 2022, in line with global events and remote work trends, we decentralized the Kyiv office setup. The team transitioned smoothly to remote work, while still maintaining close collaboration with customer’s headquarters, including regular visits to their German office.
